President’s Message – August 2019
Prof. Dr. Maria Müller Staub (PhD, EdN, MNS, RN, FEANS)
Summer seems over and we look forward to splendid fall days with leaves changing colors. I hope you had a relaxing summertime and a good start after vacation.
It’s my pleasure to inform you on ACENDIO activities and to keep you on track. Please feel free to contact us, we invite active collaboration!
After the last ACENDIO conference in Falun, we got many positive feedbacks on the balance of presented papers and posters, and on the direction ACENDIO is going on, such as building Working Groups to engage more members.
Supporting evidence-based implementation of Standardized Nursing Languages (SNLs) into practice and Electronic Health Records (EHRs) is the aim of Working Group 1.
Supporting lecturers by the development of a guideline on the implementation of Standardized Nursing Languages (SNLs) into educational curricula is the top priority of Working Group 2.
Both Working Groups started working based on the ACENDIO constitution and on the eHealth Position Statements. Both groups will present their achievements at the next ACENDIO Workshop, March 20, 2020 in St. Pölten, Austria, and invite you to add to this work in progress.
Safe this date in your agenda and join us to discuss these topics! We will also adopt the new ACENDIO constitution at the General Assembly and have fun in celebrating ACENDIOs 25th anniversary.
Besides preparations for the above, the ACENDIO Board has finalized the strategic plan for 2019 – 2021. It includs aims, tasks and milestones that will help us to reach our goals. A new ACENDIO organigram clarifies roles / tasks and gives an overview of committees. All that will also be presented next spring at the General Assembly.
We also started an initiative to collaborate with other institutions that have similar goals, and for getting more institutional and individual members.
It‘s my pleasure to highlight that the last conference fee included your ACENDIO Membership for this biennium. This means, you paid being an ACENDIO Member until March 2021.
Your benefits are getting ACENDIO news and possibilities to join research or working groups, networking and reduced conference fees.
